Silly Q time: Could a P-38 Lightning, P-51 Mustang, or Spitfire be built with today's methods?

Since WWII there have been at least 3 mfg.s building "replica" P-51s. I don't think there was much updating done, except one had a turbo prop. Currently Jack Roush is building a lot of parts for Mustangs, and again not to improve or update, but to keep the few survivors flying.
