I need to talk to my father before he dies, but how do I do it?

I haven't seen my father in 35 yrs. I know he has a shop, but is retired. He has a manager there who is in charge of the shop, I had someone talk to the manage about my father to call back Tom he had a personal message, but no one called back. I am too scared to call what should I do. I am thinking to call the manager to leave a message, but what do I say. I left in bad terms. I was 15. I tried 3 times with no good results, either I got upset or he was like I was doing him the favor. He never tried to contact me, it was only me who tried, but now he is old 75 and it maybe the last time, before he dies. I know where he lives too, should I go there, what do I say, I am too scared. Please help me what should I do. I just want to say I haven't miss him in all the years. He was mean and abusive, but now he is old. I don't want to regret not trying, before he is gone. should I call him, what do I say, or should I just go over to the place where he lives, what do I say? should I have someone help me? I don't have an e-mail only his shop number address, place where he lives no number unlisted, no relatives maybe dead, and I don't like his wife, long time ago we use to fight all the time. She wouldn't be any help. Thanks for all your help.
