I have 2 parakeets and....i have no idea what they are?

It is much safer for birds to have their wings clipped. If not, they can fly up into high places where yu can't get them down, get stuck in more places.. basically get into more trouble! lol My parakeet got stuck in my closet one time when she was full flighted. It took forever to get her out and she was so scared. I felt horrible and her wings have been clipped regularly ever since. It is not expensive but DO NOT do it yourself unless the vet shows you how. If it is done wrong, they can bleed to death. They will be able to fly a few feet, definately not more than that. Leave the ring on his foot and write down the numbers on it. If he every gets loose and then found again, he can be indentified by the numbers on that ring. . It sounds to me like you have Caiques. Parakeets do not have colors like the ones you described.
