Did Gabriel Heinze retire or something? I haven't heard from him lately, and he's not playing the copa america?

I really enjoyed watching him the world cup, but haven't even heard his name ever since. He made Argentina better, and I really miss him. I know he's getting old but I have yet to find out where he's at. I tried googling it and stuff, but it's not much help. Anyone know?
